Quick help
How do I install Decksure?
In Google Slides, choose Extensions, then Add-ons, then Get add-ons, and search for Decksure. Click Install, choose your Google account and approve the permissions on Google's screen.
How do I start using it?
Open any presentation and choose Extensions, then Decksure, then Open Decksure. The sidebar opens on the right. Save your brand kit, then click "Check this deck".
How do I set up my brand kit?
The easiest way: open your brand template deck, choose "Pick from this deck", tick the fonts and colors that are on brand and save. You can also type fonts and colors in, or paste a kit code from a teammate.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You install Decksure with your Google account and approve its permissions on Google's screen. That's the whole setup.
What does it check?
Fonts, text colors, shape fill colors and minimum text size, including text inside shapes, tables and groups. Images, logos, charts and lines aren't checked.
How do I give my team the same kit?
In Decksure, use the share button on your brand kit and copy the code. Teammates open Decksure, choose "Paste a kit code" and paste it.
A color is flagged but it's on brand
Click "Add to kit" on that issue. Decksure stops flagging it on every deck.
Clicking an issue selects a whole group
That's expected. Google Slides can't select a single item inside a group, so Decksure selects the group around it. Double-click into the group to edit the item.
The check takes a while
Most decks take a few seconds. Very large decks (100+ slides) can take up to about 20 seconds.
Does it fix issues for me?
No. It finds every issue and takes you to each one in a click. If automatic fixing would matter to you, tell us.
Does it work on PowerPoint files?
Add-ons only run on Google Slides files. Open the .pptx in Google Slides and choose File, then Save as Google Slides, then run Decksure.
Decksure isn't in the Extensions menu
Reload the presentation. If it's a PowerPoint file, save it as Google Slides first. If you use a work account, your company's IT admin may need to allow Decksure.
Does Decksure read or store my slides?
Decksure reads the presentation you have open, inside Google, only while you use it, and doesn't store it. Your text, images and file names never reach us. The only thing it sends outside Google is usage counts that aren't linked to your name or email address. See the privacy policy.
